We’ve got a bit of a rare one! A 1987 Ex Factor 4 built by Philip Kubick in Santa Barbara, CA before the licensing deal with Fender. *And* personally refurbished by Philip in 2001. This included a fret dress, rebuilt tuners, a neck refinish, and body finish touchups. Also a new hard case! This work is documented on an invoice and we have included a photo!
All hardware and electronics are functioning nicely. The electronics are original and the pots are a little scratchy when turned. Certainly to be expected, but not causing any problems when playing the instrument. And the cosmetic condition is quite good for the age of the instrument!
How Does It Play?
The neck is smooth and feels great in the hand. The string action hovers right a 6/64” (3/32”) on the low E string at the 12th fret and 5/64” on the high G without fret buzz. The fret condition is excellent.
