What's the deal with refurbished?
This instrument is stamped "used" on the back of the headstock and given a new serial number by the manufacturer-authorized refurbisher. Why? It was deemed to have a cosmetic imperfection or to need a repair. Check the description to see exactly why this instrument is considered refurbished. We scrutinize every instrument and pass along all information from the refurbisher so that you know exactly what you are getting. These are like new with little or zero play wear!
The Pursuit Concert CE Red Cedar – Mahogany is Breedlove’s best-selling acoustic-electric guitar. It is the perfect instrument for players looking for an all-in-one guitar that can stand out and carry the rhythm or be soft, sweet and nuanced when played fingerstyle. The tone is warm and rich with a solid Red Cedar top and mahogany back and sides. The cutaway body gives full access to all 20 frets, and the guitar comes with Fishman Sonitone electronics factory-installed to make it just as at-home on the stage as in the studio or practice room.
This particular instrument has had some touch-ups performed on the headstock by a Breedlove-authorized refurbisher. There was some chipping on the tip of the headstock, a nick on the bass side of the nut and a little finish crack against the treble side of the nut. These have each been filled and sealed perfectly smooth to ensure there is no issue in the future. We have included close-up photos so you can take a look. They are quite difficult to see in person unless they are pointed out. Aside from what we have described, this instrument is in mint condition.
A new hardshell case can be added to US orders for $95 or to international orders for $115. Contact us for details!
How Does It Play?
We have given this fine Breedlove a thorough pro setup to make sure it is playing its best and 100% ready for you. The neck is excellent and the action is low without buzz, measuring just 3/32" on the low E string at the 12th fret and 2/32" on the high E.
This particular guitar also has a very deep, rich tonality that sets it apart even from other examples of the same model!
