What's the deal with refurbished?

This instrument is stamped "used" on the back of the headstock and given a new serial number by the manufacturer-authorized refurbisher. Why? It was deemed to have a cosmetic imperfection or to need a repair. Check the description below to see exactly why this instrument is considered refurbished. We scrutinize every instrument and pass along all information from the refurbisher so that you know exactly what you are getting. These are like new with little or zero play wear!

This particular guitar has a finish crack in the clearcoat on the top near the treble side of the bridge. This is purely cosmetic. We have included a close-up photo so you can take a look. Aside from this, the instrument is in flawless condition. It is unplayed, so there is no play wear on the frets, neck or body.

We have given this fine instrument a thorough pro setup to make sure it is playing its best and 100% ready for you. The string action measures just 5/64” on the low E string at the 12th fret and 4/64” on the high E, without any buzz.
