What's the deal with refurbished?
This instrument is stamped "used" on the back of the headstock and given a new serial number by the manufacturer-authorized refurbisher. Why? It was deemed to have a cosmetic imperfection or to need a repair. Check the description to see exactly why this instrument is considered refurbished. We scrutinize every instrument and pass along all information from the refurbisher so that you know exactly what you are getting. These are like new with little or zero play wear!
The single-cutaway G5620T-CB Electromatic® Center-Block electric guitar features nails that traditional Gretsch sound in a versatile design. The interior solid spruce Center-Block runs the length of the guitar's 1 ¾"-deep thinline-style body, making for lively “high gain-friendly” tone and delivering greater control over the kind of feedback players want.
This particular guitar came to the refurbisher without its pickups or pickguard. The Gretsch-authorized refurbisher has installed a pair of Gretsch's "Black Top" Filter'Trons and cut and installed a new 3-ply white pickguard. There are some small cosmetic blemishes in the pickup rings (to be specific, some scuffs in the reflective paint on the backside of the pickup rings that gives them their plexi-glass styling), and a few areas where the color of the body binding varies a bit. We have included close-up photos of the imperfections. Aside from what we have described, this instrument is in mint condition.
How Does It Play?
We have given this fine instrument a thorough pro setup to make sure it is playing its best and 100% ready for you. The neck is excellent and the action is low without buzz.
A new Guardian Cases Deluxe series hardshell case can be added to US orders for $95 or to international orders for $115.
