What's the deal with refurbished?
This instrument is stamped "used" on the back of the headstock and given a new serial number by the manufacturer-authorized refurbisher. Why? It was deemed to have a cosmetic imperfection or to need a repair. Check the description to see exactly why this instrument is considered refurbished. We scrutinize every instrument and pass along all information from the refurbisher so that you know exactly what you are getting. These are like new with little or zero play wear!
This square-necked version of the 1930s Gretsch classic has the tone and punch demanded by pro players. The vital feature of all Gretsch resonator guitars is the Gretsch Ampli-Sonic™ diaphragm (resonator cone), which is hand-spun in Eastern Europe from nearly 99 percent pure aluminum, yielding an impressive quality and volume of tone.
This particular instrument has a small dent on the top right at the edge of the resonator, and has some faint marks or smudges on the resonator plate. We have included close-up photos so you can take a look. Aside from what we have described, this instrument is in mint condition.
How Does It Play?
We have given this resonator a thorough inspection to make sure it is playing its best and 100% ready to play!
