What's the deal with refurbished?

This instrument is stamped "used" on the back of the headstock and given a new serial number by the manufacturer-authorized refurbisher. Why? It was deemed to have a cosmetic imperfection or to need a repair. Check the description to see exactly why this instrument is considered refurbished. We scrutinize every instrument and pass along all information from the refurbisher so that you know exactly what you are getting. These are like new with little or zero play wear!

This particular instrument has a few very faint polishing scratches on the back of the body. In all likelihood, this was an instrument that was left over at the end of the production run. It is in truly mint condition with no play wear.

How Does It Play?

We have given this fine instrument a thorough pro setup to make sure it is playing its best and 100% ready for you. The neck is excellent and the action sets up low without buzz. We currently have it measuring 7/64” on the low B string at the 12^th and 5/64” on the high G, with a touch of relief. This could go even lower if you play with a lighter hand!
