Hands down one of the best sub-$1k Les Paul-style guitars we have ever played. The resonance is immediately apparent before even plugging the guitar in. But it’s a quick listen to the pickups that will really get you… they deliver big, articulate tone that handles overdrive extremely well. The thin C neck feels wonderful in the hand and the fretwork is top-notch. Zemaitis guitars are some of the best-constructed import guitars we have ever come across and this is one of our absolute favorites.

We are super picky about every guitar we sell, so we want to mention that this guitar has a small black marking in the binding against the treble end of the nut and a very faint gray marking in the binding near the tip of the cutaway horn. We have also included close-up photos. The guitar still has the factory plastic on the truss rod cover and electronics cavity covers!

How Does It Play?

We give every guitar that comes through our shop a full check and setup, attending to everything from nut slots to saddles, frets to truss rod. This guitar sets up extremely well, with the string action measuring just a hair about 4/64" on the low E at the 12th fret and under 4/64" on the high E. All without any fretbuzz. These guitars honestly have some of the best fretwork we have ever seen on an imported guitar line. The hardware and build quality is phenomenal all around.


A new Les Paul style hard case can be added to US orders for $95 or to international orders for $115. We also stock a nice padded Gibson gigbag that we can add for just $20.
