What's the deal with refurbished?

This instrument is stamped "used" and “3” on the back of the headstock and given a new serial number by the manufacturer-authorized refurbisher. Why? It was deemed to have a cosmetic imperfection or to need a repair. Check the description to see exactly why this instrument is considered refurbished. We scrutinize every instrument and pass along all information from the refurbisher so that you know exactly what you are getting.

This particular instrument has some light depressions in the top between the pickups just to the treble side of the strings, and some light scratches in the top as well. We have included close-up photos under strong lighting so that you can take a look. Aside from what we have described, the instrument is in mint condition. The back of the neck is smooth and flawless.

How Does It Play?

The neck sets up perfectly and the string action measures barely a hair over 4/64” on the low E string at the 12^th fret, and all the way down to 3/64” on the high E. This is without any fretbuzz. The electronics operate smoothly and quietly!
