What's the deal with refurbished?
This instrument is stamped "used" on the back of the headstock and given a new serial number by the manufacturer-authorized refurbisher. Why? It was deemed to have a cosmetic imperfection or to need a repair. Check the description to see exactly why this instrument is considered refurbished. We scrutinize every instrument and pass along all information from the refurbisher so that you know exactly what you are getting. These are like new with little or zero play wear!
The rich history of Spanish guitar making is born proudly in each model of the Cádiz series. The soundbox is more lightly built, the tops are graduated and each brace is custom cut and sanded with 4 varying widths in total. The bracing design gives a slight nod to Jose Ramirez III’s asymmetric architecture in the fact that the guitars have a treble bar. This is to stiffen up the treble side of the top a little more which helps create very round, bell like trebles on the first three strings. The bass side of the top is kept light by using slightly thinner braces which helps give the player very open, clear and strong bass response. The 26.06” scale length may not feel noticeably longer than your standard 25.5”, but it is designed to raise the tension just enough to deliver more energy to the body for fantastic response and projection.
This particular instrument has a some subtle milky blemishes over the body binding inside the cutaway, a small chip on the rear edge of one of the headstock corners, and a small finish chip over the rear body binding. We have included a close-up photo of each imperfection. Aside from what we have described, this instrument is in mint condition.
How Does It Play?
We have checked the guitar carefully to make sure the neck is straight, the saddle and nut slots are the proper height, and the string action is correct up and down the fretboard. We have also tested the electronics and hardware to confirm this guitar is 100% ready to go. The LR Baggs system produces lush tones through a PA system or amplifier when you need a little extra.
A new Guardian Cases hardshell case can be added to US orders for $95 or to international orders for $115.
