In via trade! This 1978 Fender Mustang is too cool for school. We don’t get vintage instruments in all too often, but this one certainly qualifies.
It’s short scale at 24”, and was originally designed for the smaller student in mind. But, the Mustang has been popular with all folks, regardless of age or size. If you are searching for a unique instrument, the Mustang has a voice all its own. This example sounds incredible with its original Mustang single coil pickups and 3-way switch for each one. So, grab this wild stallion for a great deal while you can!
How Does It Play?
The truss rod functions properly and the guitar sets up nicely. The string action sits at 5/64” on the low E string, and a right at 4/64” on the high E string, measured at the 12th fret. The frets are vintage in height.
