Just arrived via trade in! This 2017 LsL T-Bone is a great vintage Tele style guitar. Being an LsL dealer, we have quite a bit of experience with the brand. They are hand-made boutique instruments, all with their own unique voice, and sometimes their own name!

Sonically, this T-Bone is in the traditional ‘Tele’ camp, but with a rounder tone overall. The heavily distressed Lake Placid Blue is beautiful. It’s also just over 6 and a half pounds, so this is one to consider if you are looking for something light!

From LsL: Our T Bone is a re-creation of the best a ‘50’s or ‘60’s vintage T style guitar has to offer, then more. Each body is built and detailed by hand. Each neck is hand shaped. Then we lay on the thinnest possible nitrocellulose lacquer finish and that finish is then weather checked. This creates a very airy, open, articulate tone that is then enhanced by our own, LsL hand-wound pickups.

This is as close as you can get to achieving the tone, playability, look and feel of a vintage guitar. Our T Bones have found their way into the hands of many a player who has replaced their 50’s vintage instrument with our own. The best materials, best processes and a love and care for each guitar is what makes the T Bone the new standard in vintage-style instruments. We make them all for ourselves but then we have to sell them.    

How Does It Play?

The truss rod functions properly and the guitar sets up nicely. The string action sits at 4.5/64” on the low E string and right at 4/64” on the high E string, measured at the 12th fret. The neck profile feels like a Fat D with a flatter back, but with rounded shoulders like a C. It’s a cool hybrid that is quite comfortable.
