We recently took in this beautiful left-handed collings I-35 LC on trade. If you are left-handed, you know how difficult it is to find quality lefty instruments. This Collings I-35 LC is a stunning semi-hollow guitar in beautiful mermaid Blue.
Features include a laminate maple body and top, mahogany neck, and maple/ spruce center block. The laminate construction achieves a dryer, woodier, mid-forward tone that’s characteristic of classic semi-hollow guitars. This instrument also features a set of Throbak SLE-101 MXV pickups. These are the crème de la crème of PAF style pickups, and pair perfectly with this guitar. This one won’t last long!
How Does It Play?
The frets are in excellent shape. The truss rod functions properly and the guitar sets up nicely. The string action measures just over 4/64” on the low E string at the 12th fret and right at 4/64” on the high E at the 12th fret.
