This 2021 Gibson Custom Shop 1957 Les Paul was recently traded in at our store. As far as Les Paul’s go, it’s a good one. It’s not too heavy, the neck feels right, and it sounds killer. It’s a favorite of our friend and ‘Guitars To Be Played’ content creator Ben Brandt. In fact, we have to limit his time on it so he can shoot content for other guitars.
It’s in very good condition with some wear to the edges of the headstock front, buckle-rash on the back, and general playwear. We have included close-up photos so you can take a look! All of the aforementioned wear totally fits the VOS aesthetic. It’s nicely broken in and ready for many more miles on the road.
Specs include a 2pc plain maple top, 1pc mahogany body, 1pc mahogany neck, rosewood board, reissue frets, 12” radius, medium C neck shape, Custombucker pickups, VOS lacquer finish, and all the original case candy.
How Does It Play?
The frets are in excellent condition. The truss rod functions properly and the guitar sets up nicely. The string action measures right at 4/64” on the low E string at the 12th fret and right at 4/64” on the high E. There is no fret buzz.
