The 814ce-N is the highest-end nylon string guitar made by Taylor. It takes the 314/414 formula and adds some beautiful appointments and additional attention to detail. It features the ES-N® electronics package and doesn’t require a large cutout for the preamp. It’s a killer modern nylon with amazing playability!

Rosewood's rich low-end response and sparkling treble range gain additional projection and clarity from the Sitka spruce top, ensuring incredible definition and articulation. Modern player-friendly features include a fretboard featuring a comfortable 20" radius and a 1-7/8" nut width, which keeps things adequately spaced for fingerstyle arrangements without putting strain on your fretting hand. Elegant appointments in wood and mother-of-pearl, along with the built-in ES-N pickup, complete the package.

How Does It Play?

The truss rod functions properly and the guitar sets up nicely. The string action sits at just over 5/64” on the low E string and right at 5/64” on the high E string, measured at the 12th fret.
