We recently received this beautiful 2024 Gretsch Falcon in Cerulean Smoke via trade-in. Man, it is a looker! Great for straight ahead jazz or rockabilly alike, the Falcon is an iconic Gretsch instrument. The orange sparkle binding and metallic finish really pop. On top of that, it’s in excellent condition. No wear or dings to speak of.
Specs include a laminated maple body, maple neck, ebony board, standard ‘U’ neck shape, 12” radius, 25.5” scale length, medium jumbo frets, Luminlay side dots, and PRO-FT™ Filter'Tron™ pickups. Grab this before I decide to take it home!
How Does It Play?
The frets are in excellent condition. The truss rod functions properly and the guitar sets up nicely. The string action measures just over 4/64” on the low E string at the 12th fret and right at 4/64” on the high E. There is no fret buzz. We have it strung up with 11-49 strings. It plays great all the way up the neck.
