Condition: Used, Very Good. Like what you see? All photos are of the exact item you will receive. There is some finish swirling and minor general playwear to the VOS Lacquer finish. There are also a few scratches on the top above the pickups, as well as a couple small dings on the back of the guitar. We’ve included photos so you can take a look!

In via trade! This 2025 Gibson R7 Goldtop is a beautiful example of the kind of historic accuracy and detail available from the Gibson Custom Shop. The 1950s Chunky D is my favorite Gibson neck profile, which is fat yet super comfortable.

Featuring a non-weight relieved mahogany body, maple top, and Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups. If you are in the market for a Gold Top, you’d be hard pressed to find a better player than this bad boy.

How Does It Play?

The truss rod functions properly and the guitar sets up nicely. The string action sits just a hair over 4/64” on the low E string and just under 4/64” on the high E string, measured at 12^th fret.
