In via trade! It’s not every day we get a used Novo in the shop! This one happens to be the Serus model which is Novo’s most popular. However, instead of the standard Mastery tremolo bridge and P90s, this example is sporting the hardtail bridge and Fralin Pure PAF humbuckers. The Fralin Pure PAF pickups are vintage style, low output humbuckers with a sweet midrange and balance lows and highs.

This bad boy is spec’ed out with ‘Your Gold Dress’ sparkle finish, MOTO blocks, and a matching headstock. It’s quite striking and quite the deal with the options!  

How Does It Play?

Novo’s Medium C neck is one of my favorite profiles. It’s nice and chunky, but not too chunky, and keeps things speedy with contoured shoulders. The action sits a bit over 4/64” on the low E string and right a 4/64” on the high E string, measured at the 12^th fret.
