DRGN 100 Custom Shop is the most complete realization of the Dragon platform. This is the version for players who want to shape feel as much as sound.

It is where the full architecture opens up: more control over response, more range in how the amp can be shaped, and more access to the deeper personality of the design. Not as complexity for its own sake, but as musical control in the hands of the player.

Origin & Intent

Dragon begins with the late-’60s British amplifier language: commanding mids, explosive harmonic texture, fast attack, and the unmistakable sensation of an amp pushing back against the player in all the right ways.

But DRGN 100 Custom Shop was never conceived as a period piece or a clone narrative. The goal was not to recreate an era. The goal was to pursue the authority, feel, and dimensional complexity required at the highest level of performance.

That pursuit led to a deeper collaboration between Joe Satriani and Dylana Nova Scott — refining not only the voice of the amplifier, but the way it responds under the hands, tracks dynamic changes, and holds together at stage volume.

Control Architecture

The control system in DRGN 100 Custom Shop is designed to shape not just tone, but the behavior of the amplifier under the hands.

Frequency shaping, gain structure, and response characteristics are interconnected, allowing the player to refine attack, sustain, and harmonic density without disconnecting from the core voice of the amp.
