This amp has the most recent (December 2025) tweaks with lots of technology borrowed from the Dragon series of amps. This is the most versatile dirty channel you’ve heard on a Kitchen Sink yet, and that’s saying a lot! It does round, liquidy single notes and tight, gritty rhythm tones. As always, it has a huge range of gains available with multiple tone stack and boost options.

Just as before, the clean channels has four flavors which can be blended from American- to British-inspired. Fender Blackface or Brownface can be mixed with AC Normal or AC Top Boost via the “big knob.” At the core of the 6VEL architecture is the ability to run the amp on EL34, 6L6 or 5881 power tubes for 40W operation, and on 6V6 power tubes for 20W. Bias adjustment and meter patch points on the back of the amp make the tube swap a breeze.

Hybrid Master and Venue Mode 

This amp also features the new Venue mode which works in tandem with your Hybrid Master. Now you can choose from full power, -6db “Studio”, or -18db “Home” modes to select the wattage band you want to work with. Then fine tune with the Hybrid Master. The advantage of the new Venue mode is that it retains even more transparency in the mid register and fullness in the low register as you turn the volume down! And just as before, the Hybrid Master Bypass lets you set a footswitchable secondary volume to achieve exactly the level of clean boost or increased headroom you’re looking for.

Clean Channel

Features four voicings: American ’65 Blackface & ’62 Brownface, plus AC Normal & Top Boost. The American and AC sides can be blended together to taste with the “big knob.” We find this to be extremely useful for bringing out the best qualities of each guitar in your rig, especially when every nuance counts for finding the perfect tones in the studio. Need some “bite” on a darker humbucker guitar? Start dialing in that AC side with the Top Boost on. Want that Strat part to jump out in the mix with rich upper-midrange chime? AC all the way. Searching for full, warm and spanky tones? American Blackface is going to be your ticket. Want a little more midrange, sag and grunt? American Brownface.

Dirty Channel 

The dirty side features two Plexi tone stack flavors (’65 JTM and ’68 JMP) and a footswitchable ‘80s “Jose Mod” driven by cascading preamp tube stages and clipping diodes to boost your gain further than the traditional Plexi tones. The amp’s clarity remains remarkable as you roll down the volume on the guitar, and likewise stays tight and defined as you push the amp harder. Use the Push knob in the power section to sculpt your bottom end to perfection, and the Presence knob to add or remove some bite without compromising your preamp section EQ. From subtle push to classic breakup to balls-to-the-wall, this channel has your dirty wishlist covered.
