Like what you see? All photos are of the exact amp you will receive. The tweed is original (not a re-tweed) and there aren't any rips or tears. The power cord and some filter caps have been replaced. There is a little bowing to the wooden back panel.
Just arrived via trade! This is something you don’t see every day. We present to you this vintage 1957 Fender Harvard amplifier in gorgeous tweed. Yes, this is the same model of Fender used famously by Larry Carlton on some notable Steely Dan tunes.
All in all, it's in good shape, especially considering it's approaching its 70th birthday! As far as originality, the tweed is indeed original without any rips or tears. The power cord has been replaced with a 3-prong, and some of the filter caps were replaced with ‘60s blue molded Ajax caps. The other Astron caps are original. Tubes are vintage RCA, and the original Jensen speaker is intact and sounds great! A spare pre-amp tube is also included.
The wooden back panel has slightly bowed with age. We've included some temporary shims to help alleviate some rattle (can be seen in pics).
