What's the deal with refurbished?
This instrument is stamped "used" on the back of the headstock and given a new serial number by the manufacturer-authorized refurbisher. Why? It was deemed to have a cosmetic imperfection or to need a repair. We scrutinize every instrument and pass along all information from the refurbisher so that you know exactly what you are getting. These are like new with little or zero play wear!
This particular instrument has a small finish crack on the bass side lower bout. This has been sealed by an authorized refurbisher to ensure there is no issue in the future. This is very easy to miss but we have included a close-up photo (first photo following the shots of the back of the guitar). The guitar also has some light finish scratches on the body which are only visible when you catch them at just the right angle. We have made sure to do our best making them show up in close-up photos as well!
How Does It Play?
This guitar sets up with particularly nice string action. The string height at the 12th fret is just 5/64” on the low E and 4/64” on the high E. This is without any fret buzz. It’s really an exceptional player.
The solid Engelmann Spruce top and solid Rosewood back/sides are a time-tested combination and delivery exactly when you expect in this guitar: deep lows, round midrange and firm highs. This guitar truly punches well above its price point. The Fishman electronics are easy to dial in any time you need to plug into a PA system on a gig.
The Faith hardshell case pictured is brand new and included.
