This bass is a showstopper with a clean, classic Olympic White finish, 4-ply brown tortoise pickguard, ebony fretboard and block inlays. Paired with its full 34” scale length, the Lollar Thunderbird pickups are tight, responsive, and big on the low end. If you need a bass that is not “bright” but is musical and articulate, this one will get the job done. Double stops and chords retain excellent clarity; single notes are full-bodied and completely gratifying. The tone knob dials in the punch and “bite” and is musical throughout its entire sweep.

How Does It Play?

Another excellent neck from Fano. They nailed the neck profile on the JM4 and if you dig a medium jazz bass neck (not to thick, not too thin) then this one is going to hit home with you. It has just enough shoulder to fill it out and the playing experience is comfortable, broken-in and smooth.
