The Alt de Facto series is Fano’s top-of-the-line custom series. These are handbuilt in the USA by one luthier from start to finish so that every instrument tells a unique and cohesive story. What Do We Think?

Sporting a bull black finish with matching pickguard and ebony fretboard, this is one mean looking machine. The light distressing takes away any worry of putting the first ding in the guitar while adding to the rough and ready aesthetic. Suhr Thornbuckers (“Plus” model in the bridge) ensure the guitar has all the musical muscle to back up the looks. Tones are thick and rich, but wonderfully articulate.

How Does It Play?

The string action on this guitar measures just measures just 4/64” on the low E at the 12^th fret and even lower on the high E. All without any fretbuzz. The early 60’s-inspired profile is a breeze to play from the first fret to the last. Think just a hair larger than a Fender Modern C and with healthier shoulders. The contoured neck heel helps unlock those last few frets as well.
