The Alt de Facto series is Fano’s top-of-the-line custom series. These are handbuilt in the USA by one luthier from start to finish so that every instrument tells a unique and cohesive story. Nitrocellulose lacquer body and neck of course. If this isn’t exactly the guitar you are looking for, let us know what you want and we’ll get you the best price on your custom build.
How Does It Play?
The string action on this beauty hovers right around 4/64” at the 12th fret across all strings, without fret buzz. The early 60’s-inspired profile is a nice medium C with enough shoulder to support the hand and thwart fatigue. The TOM bridge and stopbar tailpiece really capitalize on the resonance of the old grown North American Alder body and transfer the string energy right through in a manner you can feel against your chest before even plugging in.
