What Does Josh Think?

This is a special one. It’s light. It’s resonant. It’s all mahogany. There are not a lot of set neck JM6 builds out there, but the world is missing out. This thing rips. Strap in with a pair of Lollar Imperial humbuckers and go along for the ride.

This guitar packs some serious grunt, but it has its manners too. The midrange makes or breaks a guitar. On this guitar it can be sweet or saucy depending on the amp. Clear but lush through a Fender, thick and grinding through a Marshall. Everything else falls in perfectly around it.

How Does It Play?

The string action on this beauty measures just 4/64” on the low E string at the 12^th fret, and even lower on the high E. There is no fretbuzz, and the finish is sanded off the back to give it flawlessly smooth and worn-in feel. The neck is classic C, not too deep but sporting nice shoulders that support the hand just right.
