What Does Cam Think?

The Fano JM6 model needs no introduction, especially to us at the shop. It is the most popular Fano model and rightfully so. The offset body sits comfortably in your lap and balances nicely on a strap. The vintage inspired aesthetics are classic, yet fresh at the same time. It is wonderful instrument that we all love here at Guitars to Be Played!

How Does It Play?

The JM6 model features Fano’s early ‘60s C neck shape, which measures .830” at the first fret and .920 at the twelfth fret. It‘s a great shape, especially for those not wanting a baseball bat, but still wanting a neck with a little girth. Frets are Dunlop 6105, which is a fret size that I’ve really come to like. The frets are still tall and easy for bends and single notes, but not as wide as jumbos, which can sometimes feel too big on a guitar. The action sits right at 4/64” across all strings, measured at the 12^th fret.
