What Do We Think?

Weighing in at exactly 7lb, this is one screaming Korina guitar. You get a growling lower midrange and nice bite in the upper registers. The midrange is a little more transparent than mahogany, but the character of the guitar is similar in its dry, woody attack. The Lollar Imperials prove to be just the tools to harness the Korina with broad, thick, beautiful strokes.

We spec’d this guitar with gold hardware and custom small pickguard to better showcase the splendor of the Korina. The grain is set off by the vintage amber nitro finish, sporting natural checking and only the very lightest of relics. Here’s one for you to put some wear on yourself!

How Does It Play?

The string action on this beauty sets up at just 4/64” on the low E string at the 12^th fret, and even lower on the high E. There is no fretbuzz. The guitar sports a 24.75” scale length and a classic late 50’s round C profile.
