We are so very excited to welcome Friedman Guitars to Guitars To Be Played! Not willing to rest on his laurels, Dave has tossed his hat in the boutique guitar ring, bringing his signature California style and sensibility.

Friedman guitar’s take on T and S style instruments is both classic and modern, pushing boundaries with incredible finishes and top-notch sonics. These guitars are handmade with excellent attention to detail. The finish work is one of Friedman’s strengths, giving us some of the best relic work out there. The pickups are Friedman’s own, providing outstanding tone. Rounding things out with beautiful fretwork and playability, there is a lot to love about Friedman guitars!

How Does It Play?

The string action sits right at 4/64” across all strings, measured at the 12^th fret. We love the Jescar 55090 frets, as they are just a great profile for silky playability and accurate intonation. The Medium C neck profile is thick, but with round shoulders that continue to taper up the neck.
