The Alt de Facto series is Fano’s top-of-the-line custom series. These are handbuilt in the USA by one luthier from start to finish so that every instrument tells a unique and cohesive story. Nitrocellulose lacquer body and neck of course. If this isn’t exactly the guitar you are looking for, let us know what you want and we’ll get you the best price on your custom build.

What Do We Think?

Lambertones Ristrettos are advertised as P90's with a tendency to lean towards single coil tones, but by no means does this mean these pickups sound thin or low volume. The terms “open” and “clarity” come immediately to mind, but you’ll be delighted by the full-bodied flavor that gives these pickups their name.

The neck sounds are huge, think Strat but with more low end punch and a more rounded high end. It's amazing how impactful this pickup is without becoming boomy or muddy, and the upper midrange is rich and vibrant. The bridge position packs a Tele-like punch, but again with a full frequency spectrum that pulls from the bottom up. Lastly, the middle position has a clean EQ scoop to make way for all your verbs and delays with utmost transparency.

How Does It Play?

The string action on this beauty hovers right around 4/64” at the 12th fret, nice and low yet leaving room to dig in without fret buzz. The early ‘60s-inspired C profile is temperately slim, but with a nice amount of shoulder to support the hand and thwart fatigue. The contoured neck heel gives smooth access to the upper frets.

Weight: 8lbs 2oz

The Fano padded gigbag pictured is included. We can swap out for a hard case for $250 if needed.
