The Lynx offers a lightweight alder or swamp ash body, hand-sanded and contoured to feel right at home. Set in the body is a rock-solid Gotoh Fulcrum Bridge with a steel block to provide fat tones with no tuning issues and a great-feeling tremolo response. Its fast-playing neck profile is still meaty enough to keep the guitar alive, and the Lynx offers a variety of pickup configurations, from SSS to HSS and HSH.

What Does Cam Think?

The Lynx HSS in shell pink is a versatile instrument with beautifully worn-in aesthetics. Heavy aging in the nitro finish and a roasted flame maple neck makes this Lynx a very comfortable player with a familiar broken in feel. Other appointments include aged nickel hardware, Dunlop 6105 frets, a rosewood fretboard, and a Gotoh 6 screw tremolo.

Pickup wise, the Lynx HSS sports complement of Lollars. The neck and middle 64 single coils are bell like without being strident. The standard wind Imperial in the bridge does stout country licks and classic rock equally well. All three are balanced and blend seamlessly in all positions. You can cover a lot of ground, and then some. This one guitar can cover all your gigs and look good doing it.

How Does It Play?

The neck is a comfortable Medium C profile, measuring about 0.84” at the first fret and 0.95” at the 12th. You’ll notice the fret ends are beautifully rounded with zero sharp edges. The string action measures a little over 4/64” at the 12th fret on the low E and right at 4/64” on the high E. There is no fret-buzz anywhere on the neck. All notes ring true and cleanly.
