Just arrived via trade in! This Suhr Classic S Antique in lightly aged Vintage Yellow isn’t your typical Classic S. This thing is a tricked-out tone monster with some secret sauce under the hood. This Classic S also features some cool custom Suhr options, including the hybrid headstock shape, roasted flame maple neck and board, roasted swamp ash body, and stainless-steel medium frets.      

Fans of David Gilmore rejoice; this baby features a set of EMG SA active single coil pickups. I had never tried these EMG’s before but consider me impressed! All your classic single coil tones are here, but with the clarity, definition, and bottom-end only an active system can provide, virtually noise-free I might add! And the secret sauce I mentioned earlier? The bottom tone knob is a variable 20dB gain boost! So, you can drive your Marshall into even more overdrive. If you want a killer Classic S with some additional horsepower on tap, this is the one!

How Does It Play?

The truss rod functions properly and the guitar sets up nicely. The string action measures right at 3/64” across all strings at the 12th fret. The roasted flame maple neck is buttery smooth!
