Just arrived via trade in! This is an incredible Suhr Modern Custom Antique in aged Olympic White. It’s one of the more unique Modern’s I’ve seen, and one of my favorites. It has a great combination of specs and will not last long!

The Suhr modern is the pinnacle of the ‘Super-Strat’ guitar, taking inspiration from the best instruments of the ‘80s, ‘90s, and ‘00s. This example features everything you would want in a shredder: contoured body, roasted flame maple neck, jumbo stainless-steel frets, a compound 10”-14” radius, and a trem! At just over 7 lbs, it’s very light for a Modern. This one also features a push-pull coil split for the bridge pickup and a blower switch, which routes the bridge humbucker directly to the output jack. This increases clarity and output, which is great for solos or aggressive riffing.

How Does It Play?

The truss rod functions properly and the guitar sets up nicely. The string action measures right at 4/64” on the low E string measured at the 12th fret, and just under 4/64” on the high E string. The Modern Elliptical neck profile is perfect for all around playing. It’s not super thin and not super fat, yet very supportive and fast. The satin roasted maple neck is silky smooth and a breeze to get around on. We have it set up with a set of D’Addario 9’s and it shreds!
