Just arrived via trade in! This 2024 Fano SP6 Oltre in Shoreline Gold was brought in by one of our regular customers. He takes excellent care of his gear and has certainly babied this one. This was originally purchased new at our shop and was traded back to us towards a custom bass build.

Specs include an alder body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, and ‘50s Roundback neck profile. This beauty also features an upgraded set of Lollar pickups! Specifically, a Low Wind P-90 in the neck, and a Vintage T in the bridge. The Low Wind in the neck has excellent clarity and dynamic range, while the Vintage T brings that raw T-style power at a moderate output. The 3-way switch and wiring was upgraded to a 4-way switch. Positions include neck and bridge in series, neck only, neck and bridge in parallel, and bridge only. It’s a very balanced set that has lots of tonal options!

How Does It Play?

The truss rod functions properly and the guitar sets up nicely. The string action sits right at 4/64” across all strings measured at the 12^th fret. The ‘50s Roundback neck profile is very supportive but not too fat. It’s a great neck carve that fits this guitar well!
