One of the most influential and respected instrumental rock guitarists to emerge in the past three decades, Joe Satriani is that rare "musician's musician" who's crossed over into the mainstream with music sublime and complex, appealing to a wide variety of tastes.

The JS1GD is the most premium iteration of the Joe Satriani Signature model from Ibanez. Featuring Joe’s latest specs, this is the ‘crème de la crème’ JS. The ‘Gold Boy’ metallic finish is a sight to behold, and one of the boldest Satch finishes to date!

How Does It Play?

We give a thorough setup to every instrument that comes through our shop. From truss rod to tremolo, pickup heights to intonation, you can rest assured we have this one dialed in. We also do a thorough inspection and check of all electronics and hardware to make sure nothing slips by!

The Ibanez hard case pictured is included, along with Ibanez Quick Access Multi Tool and two tremolo arms… standard and Joe’s preferred Ultralite Carbon Graphite trem arm!

To honor the world-renowned Joe Satriani Signature Series, the Ibanez R&D team worked closely with Joe to develop a finish that was worthy of both Joe's approval, and of the Gold Boy moniker. Each and every JS1 Gold Boy will have passed stringent Ibanez quality control standards, however due to the unique nature of this striking finish, some minor imperfections may be expected, are considered normal.

The Ultralite Tremolo Arm™ achieved a significant reduction in weight by utilizing Carbon Graphite for the grip, resulting in less interaction with strings and more sensitive control of the tremolo arm movement.
