In via trade! This 2023 Ernie Ball Music Man JP15 6 String John Petrucci Signature Model is absolutely gorgeous. John Petrucci needs no introduction, and the JP15 iteration of his signature model is a great combination of amazing looks and forward-thinking features.

From Ernie Ball: The JP15 features a lightweight okoume body with your choice of a quilted or flame maple top, offered in striking Red Tide, Green Tiger Eye, Ultramarine, and Amber Waves finishes. Its roasted figured maple neck and fingerboard deliver a smooth, fast-playing surface enhanced by stainless steel frets and a hand-rubbed oil and wax finish for natural comfort. Electronics include DiMarzio Illuminator pickups, a piezo-equipped bridge for realistic acoustic tones, and an onboard 20+dB gain boost for added punch and tonal range.

The piezo system supports mono or stereo output, letting you route magnetic and piezo signals through separate chains. Two 3-way toggle switches give you full control—one selects between magnetic, piezo, or combined output, while the other toggles between bridge, neck, or both magnetic pickups. A push/push tone knob splits the coils in the middle position for added versatility. Additional features include a floating Music Man JP tremolo, locking Schaller tuners, and a Mono case, with 6- and 7-string configurations available.

How Does It Play?

The truss rod functions properly and the guitar sets up nicely. The string action sits at just over 4/64” on the low E string, and right at 4/64” on the high E string, measured at the 12^th fret.
