Phantom DRGN 45 carries the same direct, performance-focused design as its 100W counterpart, but shifts the power window for greater accessibility in real-world playing environments. It is not a smaller idea. It is the same instrument, meeting the player earlier.

Origin & Intent

Dragon begins with the late-’60s British amplifier language: commanding mids, explosive harmonic texture, fast attack, and the unmistakable sensation of an amp pushing back against the player in all the right ways.

But DRGN was never conceived as a period piece or a clone narrative. The goal was not to recreate an era. The goal was to pursue the authority, feel, and dimensional complexity required at the highest level of performance.

That pursuit led to a deeper collaboration between Joe Satriani and Dylana Nova Scott — refining not only the voice of the amplifier, but the way it responds under the hands, tracks dynamic changes, and holds together at stage volume.
