Like what you see? All photos are of the exact item you will receive. There are some dings on the headstock as well as the neck. There is also some buckle rash and a few dings on the back of the guitar. We’ve included photos so you can take a look!
Just arrived via trade in! This may be the most ‘custom’ Suhr Standard that I’ve ever seen. And it’s certainly the only Suhr Standard I’ve seen with the SSS pickup combination that didn’t also have a pickguard. Anyway, I’m a big Suhr fan, and this Standard is most excellent. The color was custom ordered by the original customer. It’s a crimson red burst over a quilted maple top with scraped binding.
Pickups are V60LP’s which are just killer sounding single coils. They are ‘60s influenced with tons of punch, glass, and a tight low end. And with the SSCII, every position is dead quiet. The Tremol-No was factory installed, allowing for hardtail stability and tremolo shenanigans at a moment’s notice. This guitar has been played, showing dings and scratches from 13 years of love. But we did a light fret-level and crown on the stainless-steel frets, so it should be ready to rock for many more years.
How Does It Play?
The truss rod functions properly and the guitar sets up nicely. The string action sits right at 4/64” across all strings, measured at the 12th fret. The neck is Suhr’s D shape, which feels like home!
