Fresh off the press is this absolutely killer 2024 Fender Custom Shop '59 Telecaster Custom, finished in a heavy relic Sunburst paint job. This thing is about as resonant as they come and screams of vintage vibes. The relic work is gorgeous and feels like a guitar you’ve known for years. The neck features a 9.5 radius, maple fretboard, and 6105 fretwire.
Other features include a roasted ash body, 1959 D neck shape, 3-saddle bridge, and hand-wound Texas Special pickups. The neck profile measures .810” at the first fret and .950” at the 12th fret. Also comes with the original case, spec sheet, certificate, and all the case candy.
How Does It Play?
The truss rod functions properly and the guitar sets up nicely. The string action sits a little above 4/64” on the low E string, and right at 4/64” on the high E string, measured at the 12th fret.
