With a career spanning more than 50 years, Gary Willis has released 5 solo CD's, 10 as co-leader of Tribal Tech and has been a part of a multitude of other projects including playing alongside Wayne Shorter, Allan Holdsworth, Hubert Laws and many others. His own works include legends Dennis Chambers, Steve Tavaglione, Bob Berg, Gergo Borlai, Kirk Covington and Scott Kinsey. The Ibanez GWB was first introduced in 1999 and quickly became a staple of the fretless electric landscape.

To quote Gary about this bass, "The design of the GWB1005 doesn't try to reinvent the wheel but still has innovations going for it that you won't find in other basses. And it's hand-crafted from beginning to end with a passion for details."

Features include a swamp ash body, maple neck, ebony fretboard, offset dot inlays, and custom tuners. This bass has an incredible neck profile that’s absolutely effortless to play. One of the coolest features of the Gary Willis signature is his trademark ramp, acting as a ‘mechanical compressor’ for your fingers. Rounding out the electronics is a single Bartolini GWB bridge pickup and Bartolini® NTBT 2-band EQ.

We give a thorough setup to every instrument that comes through our shop. From truss rod to nut slots, pickup heights to saddle heights, you can rest assured we have this one dialed in. We also do a thorough inspection and check of all electronics and hardware to make sure nothing slips by!
