What Do We Think?

The mix of warmth and clarity in the Korona Supreme may just be unparalleled. Whether going for clean or dirty, the recipe of Lollar Regals and the thinline Swamp Ash body delivers a wonderful blend of depth, snap and drive.

The bridge position has a sweetness and air to it that shines above the usual bark of a bridge position humbucker. You can roll down the tone knob for those more traditional PAF tones. But left wide open, the pickup has a broader EQ spectrum both top and bottom. It is beautifully transparent even under gain.

The neck position has less of the traditional humbucker midrange as well, giving it a more articulate voice that exploits the thinline body’s resonance with ease. The top end sparkles while the bottom is thick and punchy. And if you’re looking for a purity and clack almost reminiscent of a single coil, the middle position is where it’s at.

How Does It Play?

The Roasted Maple neck on this one is a medium C with nice big shoulders. Plek’d to perfection, the frets are level and beautifully polished. The neck sets up very nicely and gives you incredibly easy string action of 4/64” on the low E at the 12^th fret and even less on the high E. All without frebuzz.
