The 000-40RE utilizes a classic complement of tone woods, featuring a spruce top, rosewood back and sides, a mahogany neck, and an ebony fretboard. The guitar is finished in a thin matte satin finish that doesn't hinder the instrument's resonance. The 000-40RE also features the LR Baggs Stagepro Element, which is an elegant option for going plugged in when needed. There is no bulky preamp, just a volume control accessible via the underside of the sound-hole. The output jack is located in the rear strap pin.
