The T-Bone models from LsL are handmade T-style instruments crafted in Santa Clarita California. The Era series features a 4 stage “Flash Coat” ultra-thin nitro finish, allowing the guitar to resonate, breathe, and look good while doing so!
Colors include Trans Butterscotch, Vintage Cream, Faded Shell Pink and Faded Sonic Blue, all finished over a northeastern white pine or alder body. Seymour Duncan stacked noiseless pickups are standard, with the in-house hand-wound LsL pickups as an optional upgrade. Take one for a spin, you’ll be glad you did!
What Does Cam Think?
The LsL Era series T Bone may be the ‘vintage T’ you have be pining for. It features all the right ingredients, including an ultra-light roasted alder body, maple neck and board, LsL SS Pickups, brass saddles, and a super thin proprietary ‘Flash Coat’ finish. Add a little play-wear of your own, and this thing will scream vintage!
Fortunately, not only does this T Bone look great, but the tones are happening as well. The neck position LsL pickup is warm yet spanky. You can pull off thick and articulate single notes as well as chunky chords. Or with the tone rolled down a bit, your jazz chording will sound the part.
The bridge position LsL pickup has tons of twang and bark. Your chickin’ pickin’ will feel right at home and single note lines will pop off the fretboard. The middle position is spank-city with that signature scooped ‘T’ tone, begging for muted chords. This might be the one ‘T’ that does it all. And boy does this guitar ring, even unplugged! I think the roasted alder body and ‘Flash Coat’ finish are to thank for that.
How Does It Play?
The action sits right at 4/64” on the low E string and right at 4/64” on the high E string, measured at the 12th fret. The neck is silky smooth with great fretwork and a comfortable carve. The neck finishing is very subtle, leaving an oiled feel that’s satin in texture. This neck is head and shoulders above the rest!
