The Saticoy series of guitars are handmade S-style instruments crafted in Santa Clarita California. The Era series features a 4 stage “Flash Coat” ultra-thin nitro finish, allowing the guitar to resonate and breath and look good while doing so!

Colors include Trans Butterscotch, Vintage Cream, Faded Shell Pink and Faded Sonic Blue, all finished over a northeastern white pine or alder body. Seymour Duncan stacked noiseless pickups are standard, with the in-house hand-wound LsL pickups as an optional upgrade. Take one for a spin, you’ll be glad you did!

What Does Cam Think?

This is the second LsL Era series Saticoy that I’ve had the pleasure of playing. It is finished in an ultra-thin Faded Sonic Blue Nitro, which is a proprietary LsL 4-stage flash finishing process. This keeps the finish lean, allowing the guitar to resonate freely.

The pickups are a combination of Seymour Duncan Noiseless single coils in the neck and middle, and a custom wound LsL humbucking pickup in the bridge. The pickups blend seamlessly, which is a rare feat when you have an HSS configuration.

The custom wound LsL humbucker is an excellent bridge pickup for this guitar. It’s beefy with a nice midrange honk, but not too powerful to overtake the singles in output. The Duncan singles are very nice. Aside from being noiseless, they have all the ‘stratty’ characteristics you would want, including sparkly high’s and thumpy low-mids. The pine body brings out the airiness in the pickups, guaranteeing you’ll cut through where it counts. If you could only have one guitar, this Lsl Saticoy could be that one.

How Does It Play?

The action measures right at 4/64” on the low E string and right at 4/64” on the high E string. The neck is a beautifully shaped and finished satin flame maple. In my opinion, the highlight of the instrument.
