What Does Parker Think?

This Terry Reid signature Nancy Loft is awesome! It is a very cool Tele-style guitar with a couple unique features that set it apart from the rest of the pack! Equipped with a Seymour Duncan humbucker-sized P90 in the neck and a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder in the bridge, this is a versatile axe.

I love the vibe of the modded Tele, similar to something you might see coming out of the 60’s and 70’s. This guitar features Paoletti’s compensated brass saddles, signature shotgun shell knobs, and an easy access Tele bridge that will suit any Tele lover and beyond!

The Seymour Duncan P90 in the neck has the right amount of punch and body while remaining clear and dynamic. It remains clear even with gain. I love alternate neck pickups in a Tele and this is a great choice, Paoletti and Terry Reid picked the right pickup for the job. It sounds especially good with varied picking dynamics with how articulate the pickup is. I felt that all my playing nuances were translated beautifully!

The Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder works great in this guitar as well. It is full and fat as you would expect but still retains the bite of a traditional Tele bridge pickup. The brass saddles pair nicely in shaving off the harsher top end that some bridge single coils can lead to, and the Quarter Pounder fills out the bottom in a lovely way. I spent a lot of time getting lost in playing it.

How Does It Play?

This is a great playing Tele with a nice full C shaped neck. Perhaps even a hint of oval C, because it never gets chunky but it has nice round shoulders. The radius is 12”, which is flatter than a typical Tele but still feels great for both for chord work and lead. The string action hovers right around 4/64” at the 12^th fret without a hint of buzz.
