A customer backed out on a custom order without ever having the chance to play this glorious guitar. His loss, your gain! This is the ultimate old-school meets modern machine. It starts with a 1-piece Swamp Ash body under sumptuous 3-Tone Burst, paired with DARK rosewood fretboard to nail the classic early ‘60s look.

But here’s where it really starts to get interesting. You’ve got Stainless Steel frets for effortless bends and virtually unending longevity, and locking tuners for quick string changes. The Gotoh 510 trem is a favorite of ours as well. It is super smooth under the hand, with no extra play in the tremolo arm.

And of course, an HSS pickup set to meet all your rock ‘n’ roll needs. The neck and middle pickup are flat pole Lollar Sixty-Fours for that vintage quack with the perfect glass on top. The bridge is a Lollar Imperial standard wind complete with coil split to give you both the modern and the classic tonal options.

How Does It Play?

The string action measures barely a hair over 4/64” on the low E string at the 12^th fret and under 4/64” on the high E, just where we like it to sit. There is no fretbuzz and Avi’s fret dressing is superb as always. The spoke wheel truss rod adjust makes neck adjustments incredibly easy should you ever need to make seasonal adjustments or you find yourself gigging in extreme climates.
