The Rex Brown Signature Bass brings Rex’s unmistakable tone, feel, and style to the Spector Euro line. Designed for players who want clarity, punch, and stage-ready performance, this bass combines carefully selected tonewoods, electronics, and a comfortable feel built for serious playing.

With its flame maple top and Desert Gold finish, the Rex Brown Signature Bass makes an immediate visual statement. Capturing the tonal character of Rex’s original Spector’s, the empress wood back keeps the instrument lightweight and comfortable for long sets, while the 3-piece maple neck and Indian rosewood fingerboard deliver stability, warmth, and a smooth playing experience. Rex’s signature neck profile gives the bass a familiar, confident feel in the hands.

Inspired Design with Signature Style

Inspired by the colors of the New Mexico landscape that Rex calls home, the Desert Gold finish is paired with smoke crown inlays, gold hardware, a script Spector logo, and Rex’s logo on the back of the headstock. The result is a bold, refined instrument that honors Rex’s legacy while giving today’s players a bass built to perform on stage, in the studio, and everywhere in between.

Loaded with EMG PJ-X pickups and Spector’s TonePump active preamp, this bass delivers a responsive, articulate voice with strong low-end presence, a distinct midrange character, and the clarity needed to cut through any mix. A rear-accessible trimpot lets players fine-tune the output level to match their rig and playing style.

How Does It Play?

We give a thorough setup to every instrument that comes through our shop. From truss rod to nut slots, pickup heights to saddle heights, you can rest assured we have this one dialed in. We also do a thorough inspection and check of all electronics and hardware to make sure nothing slips by!
