This Custom Bilt Volare’ just arrived via trade. Featuring a Fender Starcaster inspired semi-hollow roasted alder body, roasted maple neck, and Ebony fretboard, this is a premium instrument ‘bilt’ with top notch materials.
Electronics consist of a master volume control on the bottom horn, a 3-way toggle switch on the top horn, and master/ middle tone controls. There is a lot of tone shaping available under the hood! The Lollar Low Wind Imperial Humbucker in the bridge is bright and articulate, while the BareKnuckle Mississippi Queen neck pickup is juicy and soulful. It’s a great set of pickups for this mojo filled music maker.
How Does It Play?
The truss rod functions properly and the guitar sets up nicely. The string action sits at 4/64” across all strings, measured at the 12th fret.
