We are happy to welcome Veritas to Guitars To Be Played! Being just a hop, skip, and jump away, it’s great to have another local builder in our showroom.
Some guitars don’t just make music—they define it. The Texas Miracle takes inspiration from one of the most legendary guitar designs ever, blending classic punch and twang with modern precision and Veritas craftsmanship.
Built for clarity, snap, and dynamic response, the Texas Miracle delivers the articulate highs, rich midrange, and unmistakable bite that have made this style of guitar a staple on the biggest stages and in the best studios. Whether you’re playing country, rock, indie, or anything in between, it cuts through the mix with effortless presence and definition.
Designed for ultimate playability and sonic versatility, the Texas Miracle feels broken-in from day one, offering the perfect balance of power, articulation, and response. From chiming cleans to punchy rhythms and searing leads, this guitar delivers—every time, in any setting.
This is our take on a timeless classic—reborn with modern craftsmanship and an uncompromising attention to detail. This is the Texas Miracle.
What Does Cam Think?
The Texas Miracle isn’t just another T-Style, it’s an instrument that commands your attention with its own identity. Sure, its singlecut body and familiar pickups have a long and storied history in the annals of guitar design, but Veritas has managed to create an instrument that’s familiar, yet unique. The rounded edges on the body make this a very comfortable instrument to hold. The 3-way switch placement is perfect for easy access, while still being out of the way of your picking hand. And I love the elegant thinline-esque pickguard design.
Regarding tones, I feel like the Texas Miracle has two very distinct sides. On one hand, there is the aggressive and powerful bridge position and on the other hand, an organic and refined neck pickup. The pickups are Veritas’s own Longhorn T-Style.
The bridge position is what I would call a traditional ‘T’ pickup. It’s bright, aggressive, and unapologetic with soaring highs and a tight low end. Your single notes pop with authority and cut through the mix. There is perhaps a bit more grit and hair than a typical T style, but it’s that classic sound. The neck pickup is much more polite, which makes it the perfect complement to the bridge. It’s a fuller pickup with a much sweeter top end, but the bass is never flubby. It’s a remarkably balanced tone that works for strumming or picking and never gets in the way of your playing. Great for many styles or genres.
The middle position is a combination of the two, creating a tone that’s the ‘greatest hits’ of the neck and the bridge pickup. The highs are present, but subdued, and the lows are tight with scooped mids. It’s a cool position and one I’d use a lot. The middle position is great for strumming and single notes alike. Between the neck and bridge, you have access to a plethora of tones.
How Does It Play?
Playability shines with all the Veritas guitars I’ve had the pleasure of playing, and this Texas Miracle is no exception. The Neck is a beautiful piece of roasted maple with a thick slab of dark rosewood. The frets are leveled to perfection and expertly polished. The satin finish is impossibly smooth for effortless playability. The string height sits at just over 4/46” on the low E string and right at 4/64” on the high E string, measured at the 12th fret.
