The XSC Pro Series is a modern take on the Classic S-Stye guitar with some solid upgrades. Features include an SSH or SSS pickup configuration sporting hand-wound Raw Vintage RV-60 and RV-Paf Pickups, vintage locking tuners, headstock truss rod access, and a light aged lacquer finish. NEW Color options include 2 Tone Burst, Fiesta Red, Sea Foam Green, and Sonic Blue. Standard color options also available.

What Does Cam Think?

The XSC Pro-1 may look and sound like a vintage S Style instrument, but it has got much more going on under the hood. Xotic uses the absolute best of materials, and you will feel the difference. This instrument sports an alder body, roasted flame maple neck, and rosewood fretboard. Other appointments include nickel hardware, hand-wound RV-60 pickups, and Jescar 55090 frets.

This XSC Pro-1 features a set of hand-wound Raw Vintage RV-60 single coils. They capture the best that ‘60s era pickups are known for. Bell-like clean tones in the neck position, stout bridge position sonics, and all shades in between. You’ll be able to cover a lot of ground with these singles. With some drive, you’ll convincingly replicate your SRV licks. Truly a S-Style with some serious modern refinements.

How Does It Play?

The neck is a modern C profile, measuring about 0.84” at the first fret and 0.92” at the 12th. The fret ends are beautifully rounded with a mirror finish. The string action measures right at 4/64” at the 12th fret on the low E string and also high E string. Bends are easy and fretting is a breeze!
