The Alt de Facto series is Fano’s top-of-the-line custom series. These are handbuilt in the USA by one luthier from start to finish so that every instrument tells a unique and cohesive story. Nitrocellulose lacquer finish on both the body and neck of course. How Does It Play?

This baby feels slinky in the hand with a 24.75” scale length. The body is smaller than a typical semi-hollow, but every bit as resonant with its solid maple top and solid alder back & sides. The neck profile is Gibson-inspired but of the period-correct late ‘50s persuasion, comfy and not overblown like many of the reissues. The string action on the guitar measures barely a hair over 4/64” on the low E string at the 12^th fret, and nearly down to 3/64” on the high E.
